About Noor Salem

Noor H. Salem is an author of six books, speaker, and a certified holistic health coach. After earning a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Michigan within two years, she successfully received her graduate certification as a holistic health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest educational institution for nutrition. She is also a member of the International Association of Health Coaches.
Noor has been working with clients for years through her wellness practice, Holistic Noortrition, on healing naturally from issues including, but not limited to, allergies, migraines, food intolerance, arthritis, infertility, weight loss/gain, thinning hair, and insomnia. She works with her clients in better understanding their bodies and healing with natural food. She has done extensive research on medicine and food in the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ), and has found treasures of gems she now shares with her clients and conference attendees alike. She conducted workshops, lectures, and group coaching classes in countless masajid, MSA’s, and organizations nationwide, including MAS-ICNA Convention, AlMaghrib Institute, VRIC Masjid, MY-ICD, and more.
Additionally, Noor works as a columnist for several outlets, such as The Muslim Observer, and a freelance researcher and writer for numerous health institutes and academics. Her works include the sought-out book, “Sunnah-Superfoods,” a culmination of life-changing recipes and remedies, with a foreword by Dr. Waleed Basyouni, the second edition of which launched in late 2018. Noor recently published “Superfoods for Baby: The A to Z of Eating Healthy,” “Sunnah Superfoods for Baby: Arabic Version,” as well as “Sunnah Superfoods for Kids,” which includes puzzles and activities, fun facts about health, and over 50 kids-friendly recipes.
During her training, she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. Her teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities. Her education has equipped her with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and her knowledge of different dietary theories, she work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results. Her most recent hobbies include photography, hiking, Arabic poetry, and spoken word.
